Diabetes is a disease caused by a dangerous lifestyle. Excess of sugar in the blood is a sign of this.
Diabetes screening:
1. empty stomach
Means before eating food it is called fasting
2 after eating
It is called postprandial
- During fasting, if the amount of sugar in the blood is found to be more than >125mg/dl, it will show signs of diabetes.
- 2. After 2 hours of eating, if the quantity of sugar is found to be >165mg/dl, then it is a sign of diabetes.
It is mainly of two types
1. Type 1
2. Type 2
Sometimes during pregnancy, diabetes occurs for a limited period, known as gestational diabetes.
Type 1 diabetes:-
It is mostly done to people below 20 years
Insulin is a hormone released from the cells of the pancreas in our body when it stops coming out, that is, the cells of the body become bad and insulin is the hormone that needs food to convert energy and during this time our body gets the amount of sugar. Does not control by which the quantity of sugar starts increasing
Type 2 diabetes:-
In this, insulin is produced inside the body, but it is not known to manufacture it according to the needs of the body.
