Treatment for Hypochondriasis

Treatment:- If this disease is treated early then it can be cured. When this disease persists for a long time, then the chances of its recovery are reduced. First of all, it is necessary in the treatment of this disease that after examining the patient properly, when it becomes clear that he has this disease, then he should not be tested again and the patient should be clearly told that any part of his body should not be tested again. There is no such defect in the organ so that this symptom can arise in him. Along with this it is also necessary to tell that, the symptoms which he is experiencing are not false, all those symptoms are true but his perception about his disease needs to be changed.

How to treat Hypochondriasis?

Psychotherapy is given in the treatment of this disease, under which the patient is made to believe that he does not have any physical disease and all his symptoms are due to mental reasons.

Patient should constantly encouraged to divert attention from his body and take interest in other activities.
