Acharya answers that people choose anger and hatred in most situations because they feels that they know everything and by doing so they starts increasing their own ego. Suppose a person has a belief in something and another person comes and starts breaking his belief, then you know what the first person will do in this situation. Disciple asks what will he do? . Acharya says that the first person will get angry not because his belief is getting broken but because his ego is getting broken.
And
a person who calls himself wise or who understands that he is wise can not see
his ego being broken. The disciple asks, Acharya, how does this ego arise?
Acharya
answers every person has made his own
identity. He has attached himself to certain things, if someone comes and tries
to break his identity, then that person becomes angry. And there is a specialty
of anger that it only gives rise to unrest. In similar way hatred and greed
also arise. If someone thinks that if I get so much money, then I will be happy
and if someone else gets that money or thing, then that person starts hating
that other. And hatred increase unrest. There are many such things in this life
which only give rise to unrest And anger or hatred does not destroy the peace
because there is no way to destroy the peace.
They
just arise unrest, Because only unrest can be created and can also be
eradicated. Your attention shifts from peace to disturbance, so you ask how you
bring peace in your life?
While
this question itself is wrong. Peace doesn't go it is always present
everywhere. It is you who cannot see the trap of your mind and get caught in
it. What you see in this world is an image of your mind, an exaggerated form of
your mind. You see everything from one point of view or want to see. In this
situation you don't even understand what is right for you and this causing
unrest.
That
disciple asks, Acharya, how to remove this identity which we have created
within us.
Acharya
answers to erase this identity and bring true peace
Meditation
helps us to experience. When we
meditate, at least at that time nothing matters to us. While meditating, only
our existence remains and nothing else. And as we go deeper into meditation,
our clarity of mind increases. And we can see what is the root of the unrest
rising within us.
That
disciple asks what is the real meaning of the peace? Acharya answers, peace
means emptiness, Peace is not something
that can be created or destroyed. Peace is something that is always there. Peace
is the foundation of this existence, it is just like an ocean there is movement on the surface of the ocean,
but at the bottom it is completely calm and stable.
That
disciple asks but from where to start?
Acharya
says with awareness, Learn to see what is as it is, and learn to let go of what
you hold within yourself with the help of meditation. If you can do this, then
you will not have to find peace anywhere, it will be available to you at this
very moment.
