a lazy man asked a Buddhist monk. I am very
lazy because of which I am not able to do whatever I want to
do. What shall I do. Buddhist monks ask that person. Are

only me but also everyone in my village knows that I am lazy,
Buddhist monks ask that person. But do you have any proof of this, the person

it is very bad. Buddhist monks say. First of all, understand that whatever is
naturally within man, it has some use or the other. And is not good or
bad. Laziness is a feeling, a thought which we create by ourselves
unknowingly.
What are the main causes of laziness?
That person asks. but how? Buddhist monk
says. There are two reasons for laziness. First physical and second
mental. When we eat food in which there is no vitality(energy),
than laziness arises inside our body. Because this body runs
on energy and it behave the way you give energy to it.
At the level of the body, there
is another reason for laziness within us. sitting incorrectly,
walking the wrong way, and sleeping the wrong way. We never pay attention to
whether our sitting, lying and sleeping position is correct or not.
If you look at the Buddha, you will
find that whenever he sits, his spine is straight. When Buddha lies
down, there is no pressure on any part of his body. Whenever he walk, there is
a synergy between the legs in their walk, so it is not necessary
that one understands anything just by listening to Buddha. If someone wants to
understand, then a lot can be understood by looking at Buddha. There
is a third reason for Laziness at the physical level. that is not
getting up early.
How to remove laziness in
morning?
that person says. I can't even get up
early in the morning. Buddhist monks says. You can get up early in the
morning. When you will determine a right time to sleep at night.
Every Buddhist monk has to follow discipline. Because discipline
brings balance in our life. Most people think of discipline as bad
because they think that discipline binds us. But the truth is that
discipline does not bind us but liberates us. That person asks,
but where to start. By eating the right kind of food,
sitting, lying down and walking in the right way or by getting up early in the
morning, Buddhist monks say.
Start from now Whatever you are doing at
this time, do it carefully. Understand laziness at the level of the mind. By
the way, in most situations, the mind creates laziness because of
the body itself.
How to avoid laziness and procrastination?
The first mental reason for laziness is
our old misconception that we could not do it even last time. so this time also
won't be able to, We
do not see that there is much difference between this time and last time. We
are no longer what we were before. Now everything has changed.
When we don't consider ourselves
worthy. Then laziness takes over us. The second
reason is the association of the lazy peoples. Sometimes it happens
that laziness is not within us. But from other people
we gets it. It's because we associate lazy people.
The third reason is No clarity
of mind. Suppose you are lost in a forest and evening is about to come.
You don't know in which direction your house is. Will you lie down in such a
situation in the forest, or will you go out in search of your home? that person
says. I'll go looking for a house.
How to get over laziness?
Buddhist monks ask that person and what
will you do if you do not find your way home even after many efforts, that
person says. I will still keep looking because. I will have no other option
than that. Buddhist monk say Laziness catches the mind
of man only when he has many options. If one has only one option then his mind
will be completely clear.
If you are not able to exercise now, it is
because of your poor vision. You cannot see the diseases that will happen in
the future. you can't see the pain
How can I stop laziness and sleepiness?
Buddhist monks say. The fourth
mental reason is Assume there is no reason to do something. suppose
You are going somewhere on a path, you are tired of walking for a long time,
you do not feel like walking ahead. You are too lazy to walk.
Suddenly you see, a lion is moving towards you. Will you or your laziness be
able to stop you from running away in such a situation?
